Personal favorites:

1. Create a list of NOT TO DO’s to focus on the real work.

2. Single-tasking may be the lesser known brother of the famous multi-tasking but it WORKS. Trying to finish a single task without interruption gets it off the list than trying to do everything all at once without getting any done.

3. Using the Pomodoro Technique for energy management.
This entails taking a short break every so often so one can work tirelessly without feeling exhausted since one knows that a short break (about 10 to 15 mins) comes after 90 mins of work.
